Paid Time Off Policies
There is no perfect, one-size-fits-all balance between work and home. We provide time off so you can take time to relax, recover from illness, take care of personal and family business, or whatever else you need.
Vacation and Sick Time

- Can go negative up to 6 days (48 hours) during first 12 months with manager approval
- Need to exhaust vacation time before taking unpaid time off (only exception is jury duty)

- Sick Time can be used for your own health condition/preventive care or that of a family member, or victim of family violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking
- Use Vacation Time when Sick Time has been exhausted.
Time Off Benefits

| Volunteer Time Off (VTO) | Up to 8 hours paid to volunteer with a 501c3 organization | Per calendar year. F5 will match $15 for every volunteer hour. |
| Military Leave | Pay differential of up to 8 weeks | Per calendar year. Email benefits@f5.com. |
| Personal Leave | Vacation in excess of 4 consecutive weeks or unpaid time of more than two consecutive weeks. Leave begins on first date of absence | Requires approval of manager and VP. Email benefits@f5.com. |

Wellness Weekends
- Wellness Weekends will occur once every quarter, offering either a Thursday and Friday or a Friday and Monday off consecutively, resulting in a four-day weekend. This time is dedicated to helping employees relax and rejuvenate in whichever way suits them best.
